Constructionline, created and owned by the by the department of environment and transport and the Region (DETR) is the UK’s largest register of qualified construction contractors and consultants. It is designed to streamline procurement procedures and increase quality in construction services, saving clients and those who work in the industry many millions of pounds.
Contractor within the constructionline register are classified according to competence in the completion of contracts of a specified value, and in specific areas of the construction industry. Each firm is financially re-assessed each year and technically re-assessed every two years. The scheme aims to provide a central database from which construction services can be obtained.
Constructionline serves over 700 clients. These range from the largest government construction clients (Ministry Of Defence, Scottish Office, Highways Agency) to Local Authorities, Housing Associations and Health Trusts. It contains detailed information on contractors and consultants that have been qualified to work on public sector construction projects. The register covers England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Malc Firth Landscapes is also registered with Environment Agency as a Carrier Of Controlled Waste. Even the removal of grass or hedge cuttings from site are classed as Controlled Waste.
